This is the inside of St Oswald’s, Lythe where I’ll be playing a selection of four Haydn Sonatas prior to recording them later this week.

The piano (a modern copy by Johannes Secker of a 5-octave piano by Stein of c.1784) is ideally suited to Haydn’s textures and in this acoustic, I’m feeling like all my Christmases have come at once! Added to which, the sheer spirituality of this place is unspeakbly amazing. How lucky I am…P1000438
